Canberra Business Chamber Wellington NZ trade mission
EMA Advisory's executive team — Directors Emma Haskard and Matthew Bautz, together with General Manager Kerrin Andrews — travelled to Wellington as part of a Canberra Business Chamber initiative, engaging with leaders across New Zealand's defence, security and commercial sectors.
- Strategic engagement with the New Zealand Ministry of Defence, exploring opportunities arising from the newly released Defence Capability Plan and its $12B investment pipeline.
- A collaborative session with the Business Chamber of New Zealand, focusing on deepening trans-Tasman partnerships and shared commercial opportunities.
- Discussions with leading New Zealand commercial law firms, identifying avenues for future cooperation and joint delivery models.
These conversations provided a valuable platform to share EMA's innovative frameworks — including our Procurement as a Capability (PaaC) approach — and to strengthen cross-Tasman collaboration. The delegation concluded with an evening celebrating HMAS Canberra's Freedom of Entry into Wellington, alongside representatives from the Royal Australian Navy, Royal New Zealand Navy and Pacific partners.
EMA Advisory extends sincere thanks to the Canberra Business Chamber for hosting and facilitating this initiative.
